The Test Engineer is responsible for designing, troubleshooting and operating test fixtures for the purpose of testing of products. Test both prototype and production hardware with a focus on safety and quality, verifying that it performs to the customer required specifications. Study the specifications and examine the hardware. Decide what data is needed and then identify the actual test methods, materials, fixtures and equipment required. Modify test programming and data acquisition software, perform script based data evaluations. Schedule and perform tests; keeping the customer up-to-date and presenting data to the requester. Maintain responsibility for all engineering details associated with the testing performed at this facility and others as needed to fulfill customer obligations.
 

  • You will maintain a safe working environment by providing adequate precautions to tests in process.
  • You will guide shift priorities and provide engineering technical expertise for test programs
  • You will design and coordinate build of test equipment integral to perform the required test. You will always design safety into every test and activity.
  • You will program LabVIEW software to support DAQ functions and test control.
  • You will perform technical testing and necessary research for capital equipment requests (CAR).
  • You will coordinate and maintain calibration activities.
  • You will seek to continually improve process, identify issues, develops and implements corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical work environment via internship, classroom research.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, machining, pressure vessel design, CATIA design software, LabVIEW and Microsoft Office.
